How to turn your video to be the right way up.



Have you ever recorded a video on your phone or tablet and found when its played back on a TV or computer its on its side. Well the very good people at DVDVideoMedia have a very small and easy to use piece of freeware software called 'Video Rotator' to correct the problem.


Firstly visit www.DVDVideoMedia.com by clicking here to download the software.
Then click on the downloads button at the top of the page.

Next scroll down to the 'Free Video Rotator', it was the fourth down from the top in the list. Now click the download button for the latest version.
Or click here to get version 3.0.


With the file downloaded to your computer, open the files location, normally this is your download folder. Then double click on the program installer to start the install.


If a security warning or UAC popup appears click 'Run' or 'Yes' to continue, its just Windows checking you want to run this installer.


Now the installer has starter, click 'Next'.


Dont change the default destination location, just click 'Next' again.


Leave the Start Menu location as it is as well and click 'Next'.


If you don't want a program icon on your desktop untick the box before pressing 'Next'.


We are now ready to install the software, click on the 'Install' button.


That's it. The software is now installed. If you wnat to have ago now leave the box ticked, if not, untick the box before clicking on the 'Finish' button.

OK firstly start the Free Video Rotator software.



Click on the 'Open File' button and navigate to where your video is on your computer, then click on your video file you want to rotate. The software will then load read the video file and show a picture from the video.



Now click on the 'Browse' button to select where the rotated video will be saved. (It's ok for the rotated file to be in the same location as the original as the rotated video will have _out_0 after its name.)



Next click on the 'Clockwise Rotation' button until your video file is the right way.



Now click on 'Start' and wait while the video is recreated the right way up. The progress bar will give you an idea of how long it will take, the larger the file, the longer it will take.



Once the 'Success' messge appears, it's done.



And that's it, repeat for each video you need to rotate.
